THE HISTORIC CENTER OF PORTOFERRAIO + ARCHEOLOGICAL MUSEUM OF LINGUELLA
Cosimo I de'Medici decided to build his Cosmopolis (Portoferraio in modern times) on the ruines of a Roman Village that were nearly completely hidden.Today we can still see a very small part of them next to the archeological museum of Linguella.
Strolling around the historic centre of the town we will recall the Etruscans and the Romans, Cosimo de' Medici and how fundamental the navigation was for Elba. We will finish by visiting the archeological museum of Linguella that houses important finds linked to the history of our island.
